Interesting edition, dedicated to Maurice of Savoy, of this treatise on dietetics by Ugo Benzi (1376-1439); it was edited by Giovanni Lodovico Bertaldi, who added important comments on Piedmontese cuisine. It was republished in 1620.
It was first published in Italian in Milan by Pietro de Cornero in 1481. Some passages concern coffee and tobacco.
