Paris, Gustave Barba, 1856-1858. 20 volumes in-8, burgundy half-chagrin with corners, spines with 5 ornate nerves, gilt heads, cover with sometimes the spines (pastiche binding). Formal, MVII-1. New edition in conformity with the original manuscript, carefully collated on the Sautelet edition. It was the subject of a lawsuit brought by General de Saint-Simon and the Hachette company, which finally obtained from the Imperial Court of Paris a decision of seizure. 2 folding plans of the Grand Chamber of the Parliament of Paris and the Salle du Lit de Justice. Nice copy in a pastiche binding with slightly faded spine.
