Copy with a letter from Nadar on the first free endpaper, dated Paris [September] 64: "A mon bon ami Bouju son Nadar" [this is probably Ernest Bouju, publisher and patron who edited George Sand]. Opposite is Nadar's label with his motto "Quand même". Attached: Extract from a handwritten letter addressed to the editor of "l'Aéronaute" [Gaston Tissandier] by Nadar (?) concerning aeronautical observations for the defense of Paris; and a sheet of paper with the letterhead of the Société de Navigation aérienne, on which Nadar has scribbled "Mon cher Bouju, Peut vous toujours hospitaliser le Géant?"
