Large in-8; 428p., [1p. authorization of the censor]. Beautifully bound in speckled half-basin, smooth spine decorated with gilt balloons, original mute covers preserved. Beautiful copy printed on bluish laid paper, with all margins; with a handwritten sending from a professor of mathematics at the Lycée de Bordeaux to Monsieur Henri de Barbimont (?). A nice copy. Very rare collection of the works of the learned Society of the Museum of Bordeaux, which contains several articles of aeronautical interest, among which: Relation de deux voyages aériens, les 16 juin et 26 juillet 1784, par MM. Darbelet, Desgranges et Chalifour, de Bordeaux (pp. 112-147); Letter of Mongolfier addressed to the same and dated October 30, 1784 (pp. 148-150); Questions to the same on their experiments (pp. 151-153); "La Navigation aérienne", poem of Abbé Hollieu (pp.210 - 214); "Verses to the air travelers of Bordeaux", poem of M. D***, (pp. 215-16).
