Petrus Adrianus Bergsha, held important administrative positions throughout his life, from Grietman (equivalent of mayor) to bailiff of the municipality of Dantumadeel as well as member of the board of directors of Friesland, the largest province of the Netherlands. He was also a very large landowner and entrepreneur.
