9 nights itinerary in French Polynesia at Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands, Taha'a and Bora Bora
Majestic reefs, sublime lagoons, motu with immaculate sand or silent bays, the fascinating beauty of the islands of French Polynesia owes as much to the wild nature of this terrestrial paradise as to the ancestral traditions that have remained intact for thousands of years. Each island celebrates the Polynesian culture and introduces you to the charm of these mystical lands lost in the heart of the Pacific Ocean.
Meet the people, explore the coral reefs and let yourself be won over by the bewitching magic of the Society and Marquesas Islands.
Nuku Hiva (3 nights)
In the heart of the Marquesas Islands, one of the world's most remote archipelagos, the twenty wooden bungalows of Nuku Hiva by Pearl Resorts offer a breathtaking view of Taiohae Bay, surrounded by mountains and jagged peaks. Built with natural materials and decorated by local artists, the property's focus is on respecting Marquesan traditions. The cuisine, refined and extremely fresh, honors the work of local fishermen and hunters.
Offering expeditions and customized stays, the lodge takes its guests between the sea and the mountains, to meet the four majestic valleys of the island, the inhabitants on the artisanal markets and the sacred sites adorned with tikis - sculpted protective figures. Or maybe it's the guests themselves who try their hand at carving during workshops organized on the island.
Taha'a (3 nights)
In true Polynesian architectural style, Taha'a by Pearl Resorts is located on a beautiful motu in the Society Islands. This sandy coral islet is a five-minute speedboat ride from the island of Taha'a, famous for its vanilla plantations and black pearl farms. Idyllic, intimate and remarkably unspoiled, this retreat, with its stilted suites, is set in a natural setting of fascinating beauty, where the air is filled with the enchanting scent of vanilla and the tropical vegetation is lush. The waters of the lagoon are crystal clear and underneath their splendid and changing colors is an exceptional coral garden.
Bora Bora (3 nights)
Delicately set on a coral islet, Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts sits on the crystal clear waters of one of the most beautiful Polynesian lagoons, facing the iconic Mount Otemanu. There are no neighbors on the horizon except for the lush nature and the immense and soothing blue expanse of the sea. Here, three types of farés (traditional houses) covered with woven pandanus leaves welcome guests: villas nestled in the coconut grove, suites opening onto the beach, or bungalows mounted on stilts on the lagoon. Composing an archipelago of tranquility, their elegance is matched only by their comfort: one ventures out of the terraces and private pools only to discover the magic of the T?vai Spa treatments, explore the coral gardens with a mask and snorkel, or take a trip aboard the Okeanos Pearl, the property's solar-powered catamaran. A sleek setting, where everything has been designed to satisfy the senses.
