MANUSCRIT autograph signed " François Coppée ", Intimités, [1868]; title and 9 pages in-8, mounted on bluish ff., bound in one volume in-8 eggplant chagrin, large fillet framed in cold, title gilt on the upper board, inner frame with cold and gilt fillets with red morocco border, red moire linings and endpapers, marbled paper counterguards, gilt edges, case (René Aussourd). Partial manuscript of the second collection of François Coppée. Intimités was published by Alphonse Lemerre in 1868. This manuscript presents eight poems out of the sixteen of the collection, in a different order; several bear at the end a date which has disappeared from the edition. I " The twilight is sad and soft like a farewell " Dated " Etang de Chaville, August 186, 8 o'clock in the evening ". II "His blue room is the one I like best" Dated "October 186 4 o'clock in the evening". III "In Paris, in summer, the evenings are stifling" Dated "La Maison-Blanche, July 186, 7 p.m.".
