19 May 1722, [to abbé Joseph d'OLIVET], beautiful letter complimenting him on his book Huetiana, [or Pensées diverses de M. HUET], which he praised "mesme dans l'Academie Françoise" and which he will keep preciously, "and for the love of you [], and in memory of the wise man whose words you have collected. He once had some kindness for me. Perhaps that the friendship with which Mr. DESPREAUX honored me made me suspicious in the future" August 8, 1724. M. de VALINCOURT and he read and reread the entrusted copy, and he addresses his own pieces by asking grace for them, "very small companions" and "humble servants of your beautiful translation
