(1903-1980)
Leonard Pelham Lee (1903-1980) was an English industrialist from Coventry, owner of the company Coventry Climax founded in 1903 by his father Henry Pelham Lee (1877-1953) whom he succeeded in the late 1930s, specialized in the manufacture of various engines for automobiles including Morgan, Triumph, Standard and fire pump engines. Under his direction, Coventry Climax produced Formula 1 engines in the 1950s and 1960s. Leonard Pelham Lee is also the owner of Sherbourne Manor in Warwickshire.
