History:
Robert Camelot worked in Pierre Patout's office from 1924 to 1931 before setting up his own practice. The two architects competed together on the project for the Palace of the League of Nations in Geneva.
The Transatlantique Ile-de-France, inaugurated in 1927, was the first major expression of Art Deco in its decoration, before the Atlantique and the Normandie.
