Nasa. LUNAR ORBITER 2 mission. First close-up view of the lunar crater COPERNIC, one of the most important craters on the lunar face exposed to the Earth. The hills emerging from the flat ground are 300 meters high and have a slope of 30°. From the base of the photograph to the horizon the distance is approximately 240 kilometers and the mountains in the background are approximately 900 meters high.
