[Cavalry]. PLATES relating to the Instruction concerning the exercise and the maneuvers of the troops on horseback. In Paris, at Magimel, year X - 1801. In-12, [2] f. (title, explanation), pl. in contemporary havana racine basane, smooth and ornate dis, salmon title-piece, cold fillet on the boards, red edges (corners worn, tear on the head-cap, some dust marks and russeting in the margins).
Album (alone, without the text volume) comprising 155 copper-engraved plates, most of them folding (num. I-CLII and 3 bis), showing the rider's dress, the horse's movements, the harnessing, and a large number of figures of maneuvers.
