[BERNIS (F.-J. de Pierre de). La religion vengée, poem in ten songs. In Paris and Strasbourg, by Amand Koenig, 1798. In-8, [7] f., XII-241 p., contemporary binding in grained basane, smooth spine decorated, garnet-red title page, triple gilt fillet on the boards, edges inlaid with speckles (browning and rubbed corners. Very rare edition given by the Strasbourg publisher Koenig. We do not find it mentioned in any of the major union catalogs (CCFr, Worldcat, etc), nor in those of the BNU and BM of Strasbourg. Only one copy is listed in the University Library of Ghent. Our copy is decorated with a beautiful portrait of the author drawn in bistre on the title page, which does not appear on the Ghent copy.
