1966 - Autobianchi Bianchina Cabriolet Dutch circulation permit Chassis number 110FB007936 - Good general condition - Solid alternative to the Citroën Mehari and Mini Moke - Ideal beach, country and city car! In 1957, the French firm Autobianchi presented a more luxurious derivative of the mythical Fiat 500, named Bianchina. First available in a two-seater Transformabile version with a sunroof, it was declined in 1960 in two new configurations: Panoramica and Cabriolet. The engine is then "pushed" to 21 HP! The Cabriolet is in fact a project of the engineer Luigi Rapi, who recently escaped from the Special Body department of the Fiat firm to the benefit of the Autobianchi brand, for whom this small cabriolet could represent an excellent investment. In spite of these ideas, all the body panels had to be redesigned, and therefore required significant financing. In April 1960, the Autobianchi company presents the result of all these efforts: the success is there and more than 1,000 units are sold in the first eight months. After a long reign and regular improvements, the production of the Bianchina stopped in 1969. The Bianchina we present is part of the second series, so it received some improvements like the F-Type engine. Today its cosmetic condition is very good: the paintwork is very good and the chrome is beautiful. The interior is spartan, and is also in a very good condition. The black vinyl seats are comfortable, and the wooden steering wheel, not conforming to the original one, fits well and is pleasant to hold. A major mechanical overhaul was performed in 2020 at the Belgian specialist Deman Brussels: oil change, replacement of the front shock absorbers, brake overhaul... Nothing was left to chance. This charming Italian convertible is the ideal mount for a passionate person looking for a beach or country car easy to handle.
