2004 - Ferrari 612 Scaglietti F1 Belgian circulation permit Chassis number ZFFAY54B000136591 - Regular maintenance - Very nice general condition - Family V12 still affordable After the sculptural and adored 456 GT, Ferrari presents in 2004 an authentic GT 2+2: the 612 Scaglietti, in reference to the Italian coachbuilder from Modena, closely linked to the history of the Cavallino rampante. More luxurious, more bourgeois, more livable, more powerful: this is the front-engined V12 Ferrari of all superlatives. However, the fans of the Prancing Horse ignore it, seeing it only as a family Ferrari, less interesting than the strict 2-seaters, considered - wrongly - as more noble and more sportive. Despite its dimensions (4.76 m long, 2.95 m wheelbase), it is 60 kg lighter than the 456 GT, thanks to an all-aluminum body. The exclusive bodywork is the work of Pininfarina's Ken Okuyama, who carved out the sides of the beast in homage to the iconic 1954 375 MM Pinin Farina given by director Roberto Fellini to the great actress Ingrid Bergman. Under the front hood is the 5.7-liter V122 tipo F133, which develops 540 hp, giving the 612 lap times similar to... the 575 M! It is coupled to a mechanical or sequential robotized gearbox (F1 type, for 90% of the production), mounted just in front of the rear axle, like a transaxle, for a better balance of the masses. This authentic GT will be produced in just over 3,000 units until 2011 and will be replaced the same year by the Ferrari FF. The 612 Scaglietti F1 we present was delivered on July 15, 2004 by the mythical Garage Francorchamps, to its first Belgian owner. Its maintenance booklet allows us to follow its life and its maintenance until today and the invoices present in the file allow us to follow it until 2010. We know that the engine was changed at Garage Francorchamps at 26,407 kilometers in 2006, but between 2010 and 2020 the work is not reported on the booklet. In 2020, a major overhaul is performed at the specialists Deman Brussels, including the change of belts, brakes and tires. Today, the car is in a beautiful state of preservation: the "Argento Nurburgring" paint is well stretched, the black leather interior is very nice and the Challenge type rims are not damaged and fit perfectly. The only flaw - traditional on these models - is that the rubber elements of the interior have become sticky over time. This authentic Ferrari 2+2 represents a very nice purchase for any enthusiast of the Prancing Horse brand. Its value is still reasonable, don't wait!
