Portrait of Philippe de France (1640-1701), Duke of Anjou, brother of Louis XIV (at the age of two).
He is wearing a feather with a crush, in a dress of embroidery and lace, with the blue cord of the Order of the Holy Spirit.
Oil on panel. Parquetage. (Trace of vertical crack towards the middle; small gaps; old varnish soiled and yellowed)

To be compared with the portrait of Louis XIV as a child with his brother Philippe de France, attributed to Charles Beaubrun, and kept in the Pera Museum (Istanbul), dated 1642.
