S. Thomae Aquinatis In octo Physicorum Aristotelis libros Commentaria... [followed by:] Ioannis de Ianduno Philosophi acutissimi super Octo libros Aristotelis De Physico... (Venice, heirs of Girolamo Scotto, 1586). Together 2 works bound in one large vol. in-8 (32,2 x 20,6 cm), brown calf with cold decoration, spine ribbed, handwritten title on vellum piece (old posterior binding). Interesting collection of two Aristotelian studies by two major thinkers of the late Middle Ages: ornate or historiated lettering, portraits of Aristotle in the frontispiece and diagrams in the text, all woodcut. A pencil note at the head of the book states: "The interest of this book is in the fact that it contains the famous Quæstiones of Elias del Medigo, master of Pico della Mirandola. Some spotting and foxing, spotting in the lower part of the leaves, concave second board, re-stained skin and restorations. Provenance: "Horatius Florutius 12" (handwritten bookplate on title); "N. Bertomié " (handwritten bookplate on the title dated 1882).
