Statutes of the Order of St. Michael Paris, De l'Imprimerie Royale, 1725. In-4. Bound in full brown calf with triple gilt fillet framing the boards, royal coat of arms of France gilt in the centers, spine with five nerves decorated with floral cartouches and friezes of foliage, with title piece. Gilded edges. Endpapers in foliage paper and friezes of flowers with small iron. An engraved title by COCHIN, and three hors-texte plates by SIMONNEAU fils (facing pp. XIV, 170 and 376). A copy with large margins. Mottling at the top right of the leaves, widening from p. 199, with mold. Several pages browned. Brown stains or streaks on several leaves. Damage and loss to the binding, especially to the second board, which is very damaged.
