Handwritten text in-4° of 82 pages on laid paper of the famous work published in 1777. This one presents some small differences with the printed text. GUIBERT Jacques Antoine Hippolyte, born in Montauban on November 11, 1743, general officer, brilliant theorist and military tactician, he was the friend of Voltaire, Buffon, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Diderot, Thomas, Mme de Staël, became the opponent of d'Alembert after having been his friend. A mediocre playwright and a brilliant military writer, he left praise for, among others, Mlle de Lespinasse and the King of Prussia. He died of illness in 1790.
