BALZAC (Honoré de). David Séchard. Paris : Dumont, 1843. - 2 volumes in-8, burgundy half-calf, spine ribbed and decorated, spotted head, untrimmed (early 20th century binding). First separate edition, published in November 1843, of this novel which ends the series of "Lost Illusions". It had already appeared in the Furne-Houssiaux collective edition in July 1843, under the title " Eve et David ". Beautiful copy, washed, in a pastiche binding of the beginning of the 20th century.
