In-8 [2] + xii + [2] + 219 + [1] + [12] p. 6 plates; contemporary English fawn calf (the first board, with a completely split spine, is held together by only one seam). First edition, not very common. Copy annotated at the time with corrections in the text or notes adding textual elements. Larger marginal moisture rings at the end of the volume. WILKINS (John), Sermons preach'd upon several occasions, London (Richard Chiswell and Will Rogers), 1701. In-8 with a portrait, [12] + [8] + 478 + [2] ill-paginated pages; contemporary tan calf (spine rebacked). Second edition, a good copy, complete with the portrait. Bookplate of 'J. Allett' on the title page with the date '25 December 1772' at the end of the volume.
