Mercedes-Benz has always enjoyed an excellent
reputation, especially at the turn of the 1970’s when
acquiring a Mercedes-Benz vehicle was more than just a
means of transportation. The SL type R107 was unveiled
in 1971 for this very reason: to be able to show the world
its status, its place in society.
The model we present to you was first registered in May
1975 and has recently received a special care, especially
inside, where you can enjoy a completely new upholstery
in dark red leather of the most beautiful effect.
To perfectly complement this work, a beautiful case was
needed: a complete mouse grey paint job was applied to
the cabriolet and its hard-top and gives the car a splendid
colour combination; it is the ideal configuration between
elegance and luxury.
Mechanically revised, the imposing 3.5L V8 with over
200 horsepower is coupled to a perfectly staged automatic
gearbox that allows for long drives with the elbow on the
door but does not flinch when it comes to accelerating.
The R107 is finally the all-round convertible; it is as
reliable as it is discreet, but still knows how to turn heads.
Examples in good condition are becoming increasingly
rare and the average price of a «Pagoda» makes this
generation very interesting.
Neither long journeys nor long distances frighten it,
judging by the more than 270,000 kmsour car has covered
in its life, it is ready to set off on another adventure.
