Serial number SAJAA13D6YKF07723 160 000km original Automatic gearbox English charm Exceptional driving comfort French title The Jaguar XJ (Sir Lyon’s name for eXperimental Jaguar) appeared at the 1968 Paris Motor Show, but it was in 1962 that a colossal investment was made in this car, which had the ambition to renew the Jaguar range. It combines modernism, tradition, comfort and good road holding. The design by William Lyons combines purity and classicism and continues to this day. In 1994, the XJ40 was replaced by the X300 (produced from September 1994 to June 1997), which differed from it mainly in its design. The X300 was the last of the larger Jaguars to receive an in-line 6-cylinder (AJ16) as well as a V-twin. The handling of the car is a delight, and its absolute comfort does not make the aficionados of the brand lie. However, the test drive revealed a lack of power, so a mechanical overhaul is necessary before the 243 hp of the V8 can be enjoyed again. As a nod to the mechanic, the toolbox is located in the engine compartment. So don’t wait any longer to take the helm of this little 1.7 tonne liner, which will take you everywhere, in a hushed atmosphere of leather and wood, and if y
