Serial number VF1C4050500956368 148 000 km French title The Super 5 GT Turbo is the sporty model of the Super 5, marketed by Renault from March 1985 to meet the competition of the time in this segment: the Golf GTi and the Peugeot 205 GTi. This model replaced the Renault 5 Alpine turbo, in the manufacturer’s sporting tradition. It will be available in four main models: phase 1, phase 2, the «Coupe» version and the limited version called «Alain Oreille». In terms of performance, it is equipped with a Cleon 4-cylinder 1.4 litre engine fed by a single-body Solex carburettor and a Garret T2 turbo. The Super 5 GT Turbo has 120 horsepower, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and reaches 204 km/h. Our example dates from 1987 and is presented as phase 2 of the model with new body coloured bumpers, GT Turbo lettering on the rocker panels, while the red edging has disappeared to better distinguish it from its 205 rival. The 13-inch wheels have a new 5-spoke design and a spoiler has been added to the top of the tailgate. With its firecracker red colour, our car is just waiting for a new owner to take its Turbo on the small roads of France.
