DROMADAIRES AU BORD D'UN LAC Oil on canvas Signed and dated lower right 1926 72 x 91 cm Provenance: Private collection. Adam Styka was a Polish Orientalist painter, naturalized French. He made several trips to North Africa, and painted landscapes, portraits and orientalist genre scenes. During this fruitful period, he was very impressed by the bright light of these regions. The canvas we present translates this luminosity and his palette, composed mainly of rust and blue tones, defines his style, which earned him the title of "Master of Light".
