Chest of drawers called "A BAMBOCCI" in moulded and carved walnut and burr walnut. The rectangular top is decorated with gadroons on the edge, the chest of drawers opens with six drawers on four rows. The console uprights are decorated with naked male figures on the left and female on the right, probably evoking Adam and Eve. It rests on a cornice raised by acanthus leaf feet. Each of the eight handles is carved in relief with an individual musician, the entrances to the locks taking the form of dolphins facing each other. The small drawer in the center of the first row presents two cherubs holding a medallion. Each drawer is framed by a frieze of ovals, the crosspieces have twisted gadroons extending from the center. Genoese work, Liguria region, partly from the 17th century. H_99,5 cm W_148 cm D_72,5 cm (accidents and restorations). Provenance : former Norman collection.
