Oval miniature portrait painted on ivory of Countess Daria Mikhailovna NIRODE, born Princess CANTACUZEN (1878-1944), maid of the Imperial Court, daughter of Prince Cantacuzen Count Speransky (1847-1894) and wife of Feodor Maximillianovich Nirode (1871-1952), a Russian major-general. During the civil war, she was part of the white movement. In a gilt brass frame engraved on the back with her title, dated 1911. Circa 1911. H. 7.5 x W. 6 cm Gross weight : 76,43 g Elephantidae SPP ivory specimen in compliance with the AM of 4 May 2017 allowing the commercial use of antique Elephantidae SPP ivory. For an exit of the EU, a CITES of re-export will be necessary, this one being the responsibility of the future purchaser.
