At the river's edge, China, 19th century Folded fan, the double sheet of paper painted with gouache on both sides of palaces opened by terraces and pontoons overlooking a river. The scene is animated by 40 characters. All wear silk clothing, and their heads are made of ivory* in relief. Bone mount, the strands pierced and engraved with figures in gardens. The plumes carved with pavilions, bamboos and figures. Metal clasp.
