Johannes TAVENRAAT (1809-1881) Landscape by a stormy weather Oil on canvas signed lower left and dated 1845 75 x 120,5 cm Important wooden frame On the back, a reinforcement piece and two old labels "Jos Wierschem Luxembourg / Fournisseur de la Cour/ 1 rue du Génie" and "Provient de la galerie de S. M. Guillaume II, La Haye 1851 William II (1792-1849) was the second King of the Netherlands, Duke of Limburg and Grand Duke of Luxembourg from 1840 to 1849. At the time of our painting, the artist was living in Brussels.
