Livio de MARCHI (born in 1943) Brush Sculpture in painted wood Not signed H : 162 cm (Some small missing parts) Known as the Woodcarver of Venice, Livio de Marchi, born in 1943, is a prolific artist known worldwide for his creativity and dexterity. His main inspiration: everyday objects, what surrounds him and fascinates him; from paintbrushes to Italian ice, to books. Among his most outstanding creations: the book houses, whose furniture is entirely made of carved wood imitating stacked books, of which we present an armchair and a desk. As well as his cars: all made of wood, made in real size, they don't run... they sail on the canals of Venice!
