Important carving of a guardian in lacquered and gilded wood. He is depicted standing on a pedestal with a row of lotus petals, his right hand resting on his reed, his left hand formerly holding a sword now missing. He is dressed in armor decorated with a mask on the pectoral. On top of the skull a removable helmet. One hand missing, elements missing from the helmet, some elements resculpted and partially restored. Numerous cracks and missing lacquer.
