Morin after Braquemond. Half hazelnut morocco with corners, spine gilt, gilt head (Chambolle 1891). Carteret, III, 153; Vicaire, II, 191 & 247 Original edition, conceived by Champfleury as a sequel to Chants et Chansons Populaires, published in 1843. Champfleury's texts are accompanied by piano tunes by J.B. Weckerlin and woodcut illustrations after Bida, Bracquemond, Catenacci, Courbet, Faivre, Flameng, Français, Fath, Hanoteau, Ch. Jacque, Ed. Morin, M. Sand, Staal and Villevieille. Unique copy, enriched with the original gouache by Bracquemond (unsigned) used for the creation of the frontispiece.
