In-12 square: black half-chagrin with corners, four-ribbed spine decorated with a small gilt fleuron, untrimmed, black paper cover decorated on the first plate with a coat of arms printed in gilt and spine preserved (20th century binding). First edition. Limited edition of 206 copies: one of 197 on laid paper. The illustration includes 13 woodcuts, 10 of which are out of the text, printed in black, orange or blue. Two of them are compositions by Alfred Jarry himself. Second publication by Alfred Jarry. It contains the original version of Ubu Roi and forms a sort of diptych with his inaugural work, Les Minutes de sable mémorial.
