Bassa-Nge statuette Nigeria Wood H. 20 cm Charming statuette representing a female figure standing on a round base. The arms detached from the body meet at the navel. The round head is topped by a crested headdress. The cheeks are scarified. The facial features have been partially erased by the multiple manipulations to which the statue has been subjected. The whole is covered with a very beautiful shaded and shiny black patina.
