This photo is from work done by Christophe Lepetit during the curfew from November 2020 to May 2021. As a photojournalist, Christophe Lepetit had the privilege of being able to move freely around Paris at night. During more than 50 nocturnal outings, he roamed the deserted streets of the Capital from 9 p.m. until midnight, at which time the monuments ceased to be lit. Night after night, the photojournalist was captivated by this city that was willing to open its soul and reveal some of its secrets. Christophe Lepetit confides that he loved these exceptional interludes that will forever remain engraved in history, when Paris, emptied of its inhabitants, was revealed in all its splendour: "My photos want to be witnesses of this magical and silent atmosphere, as well as a tribute to the most beautiful city in the world."
