Set of three pots Vietnam, Đông Sơn culture, 3rd-1st century BCE, Terracotta, H. 18.5 / 12.5 / 9.5 cm These three terracotta pots are characteristic of early Đông Sơn production in the spirit of the so-called proto-vănglangian cultures (late Upper Neolithic). Mounted by hand, they bear a basket-weave or beater-printed decoration intended to consolidate the piece. However, the presence of wavy lines and a well-marked straight-edged opening ending in a small rounded lip testify to an obvious aesthetic research. (chips, restoration)
