1972 JENSEN INTERCEPTOR III Serial number 5111618079018 Nice cosmetic condition Rare on our roads FFVE certificate American title of circulation A significant name, an English construction, an American V8, an Italian style, such is the Jensen Interceptor. A true GT, the Jensen was created to cruise at high speeds on the young highways of the world in the 1970s. However, its career was hampered by an extremely expensive design (the Interceptor was available with all-wheel drive), and the 1973 oil crisis that put a strain on the manufacturer's health. The Interceptor can thus be compared to the Citroën SM. They were two fabulous GT cars that appeared at the wrong time. Nevertheless, the Jensen had a great career in movies and television, notably with Simon Dutton in The Saint, or more recently in Fast and Furious 6, driven by Michelle Rodriguez. Born in 1972, the car we present to you was delivered new in the United States like most of the production. Today, the car presents itself in a beautiful aesthetic state with a red / burgundy paint stretched over the body that emphasizes the aggressive curves. The interior is not left out with a complete restoration of the black leatherette upholstery contrasted by the beige carpets. When you sit on the driver's seat, the ease of handling the car is very pleasant, the general ergonomics is at a higher level thanks to its gauges turned towards the driver. The imposing dashboard covered with the same material as the seats seems to be typically designed for the American market with its automatic gearbox. The car balances its British roots with wood veneers and a "shooting brake" body with its American influences with a powerful V8, a comfortable interior and a vinyl roof. A 1970's icon, the Jensen Interceptor is a rare beauty to collect.
