JOHANN RUDOLF FEYERABEND (1779-1814) ATTRIBUTED TO Still lifes Suite of four gouaches on paper Height 14 cm - Width 27.5 cm Johann Rudolf FEYERABEND, known as Lelong (Basel, 1779-Basel, 1814) was a Swiss painter of portraits and small-format still lifes. He lived for some time in France, in Caen, where he used the pseudonym of Lelong. Feyerabend produced a series of small gouaches on paper, highly decorative still lifes. His still lifes are composed of vases and baskets of flowers, glasses and bottles of wine, bowls of fruit, loaves of bread, musical instruments and kitchen objects, placed on a stone entablature.
