Large and fine NAIN in the Habibian (Iran) carpet tradition, circa 1975. Midnight blue field with scrolls and garlands of flowers adorned with a central ivory diamond-shaped floral rosette. Four beige spandrels. Quality lambswool velvet, flowers surrounded by silk, on a cotton foundation. Density of about 8,500 knots per square meter. Good condition. 270 cm x 153 cm
