Alix AYMÉ (1894-1989) Portrait of two young children Ink and pencil pastel on paper, signed and located in Luang Prabang on the lower left. 44 x 27 cm A certificate will be given to the buyer. Our drawing according to Pascal Lacombe, "is part of a series representing children of Luang Prabang made on this type of paper with similar mediums (ink, watercolor, pencil, pastel). Alix Aymé made several stays in this city of Laos. The signed works like this one (Aymé) most probably date from 1931, just after her marriage to Georges Aymé. This series was produced at the same time as the large canvases that the artist was making for the courtroom of the Royal Palace in Luang Prabang, a period during which she stayed there for almost a year. This work will appear in the catalogue raisonné of the artist realized by Pascal LACOMBE, president of the Association of the Friends of Alix Aymé (AAAA), who kindly specified us the context of the creation of this work.
