This copy also contains a handwritten copy of 26 pages of satires against the church people or on marriage which was attributed to Boileau but whose authorship remains doubtful.
Bindings rubbed with slight leather tears, corners dulled, headpieces removed or missing, 4 blank leaves are bound in the life of Boileau in volume I replacing the 4 printed leaves bound in at the end of volume II, some foxing, wet stamp of a religious institution on the title page, other minor defects.
