According to the report in "L'Équipe", the pop elegance of the 25 French athletes (out of 147 Frenchmen), half air hostess, half "Demoiselles de Rochefort", had an effect. Swimmer Christine Caron (right) is probably feeling a special kind of stress: in a few hours she will be the first Frenchwoman to carry the tricolour flag at the Olympics. Single later print.
