TÔN-THÂT Tiêt (born 1933). Autograph musical manuscript signed, Le Chant de l'espérance for children's choir and instrumental ensemble, 1984-2002; 27 pages 35 x 27 cm. This piece for children's choir and instrumental ensemble, originally written in 1984, is taken from Kiem Ai, a work for mixed choir, children's choir and large orchestra. In this new 2002 version, the choir is accompanied by percussion, piano, and a string quartet. The text is a poem by TU FU, an 8th century Chinese poet: "Under the empire, among the cities and towns, there is no place without arms and armour"... Duration 8 minutes 40 seconds. The manuscript is carefully written in black ink on 18-stave paper; there are corrections with the tipex; some staves have been whitened for the plate.
