Manuel ROSENTHAL (1904-2003). Autograph musical manuscript signed, La Fête du Vin, 1937; [2]-143 pages 27.5 x 35.5 cm (mispaginated 1-145), on bifeuillets set in quire (title leaf damaged with tears).
Orchestral score for the Fêtes de la Lumière of the 1937 World's Fair, as indicated by Rosenthal on the title page, which also bears the dedication "for Robert Proton de la Chapelle".
The orchestra consists of 3 flutes, 3 oboes, 3 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 4 horns, 4 trumpets, 3 trombones, tuba, harp, piano, timpani, 5 percussionists, and the strings The work begins Lento misterioso.
The manuscript, written on 26-line paper, was used as a conductor and bears annotations in red and blue pencil; it is signed and dated at the end "Final version completed on December 4, 1937 in Auteuil.
