Publisher's full carmine red cardboard "with tulips" of the 2nd type. Spine with six boxes. No mention of the binder (probably Engel). Edges gilt. Lemon yellow endpapers. Printed by Gauthier-Villars. First illustrated edition (completed 758-72). Covers and corners very skilfully restored. Some very rare foxing. Otherwise a fine copy of this title in a cardboard binding that we know to be extremely rare. Interior almost perfect. A perhaps unique copy, like many of its "similar"!
