There are several autographed versions of this composition, the first of which was exhibited at the 1704 Salon. (Booklet p. 41, note 2, addition to the 3rd edition, Paris, 1869). There is an anonymous and undated engraving of the time, published in Paris by Diacre, and another published when one of the versions was in the cabinet of Monsieur Poulain.
