Tsuba fuchi kashira: en suite in shibuichi with katakiri bori decoration of the seven sages in the bamboo forest. Tsuba and fuchi signed Godai Kiryusai Somin followed by kao. (Yokoya school, 5th generation)
Kogatana : shibuichi and gilt copper kozuka with kurikara ken ryu (dragon on a ken) design in relief, on a nanako background, the reverse side with a neko yasuri (cat scratches) design, Goto school. The blade decorated with a bonji and signed Katsuren
Habaki : in gilded copper and shakudo with a dragon among the waves holding the tama
Kurikata : in shibuichi with a nanako pattern decorated with a môn daki myo ga (ginger shoots), used by the Hori family of Iida
Menuki : in gilded copper featuring two dragons
Scabbard (saya): in lacquer alternating black ro-iro stripes and black stripes with inclusion of thin wooden slats, decorated with two gilded copper môn: daki myo ga (ginger shoot) and ageha no cho (butterfly)

The founder of the Yokoya school, Somin, whose real name was Yokoya Chojiro, (1670-1733) had studied the painting of the Kano school, and is the inventor of the technique of katakiri bori, which imitates brushstrokes in the metal
