CLAUDE LALANNE (FRA/1925-2019) L'Enlèvement d'Europe brown patina bronze signed with initials and workshop stamp, and numbered '1/1 CL LALANNE' (on the right front hoof) Height: 200 cm / Width: 85 cm / Depth: 202 cm. Designed in 1990 for the park of the European Centre for Permanent Education. This work is the 1/1 copy of an edition that was later cast in 8 numbered copies. BRONZE WITH BROWN PATINA, SIGNED WITH THE INITIALS AND THE ATELIER STAMP AND NUMBERED 1/1 ON THE FRONT RIGHT HOOF, HEIGHT: 78.3/4 in. / WIDTH: 33.1/2 in. / DEPTH: 79.1/2 in. CREATED IN 1990 FOR THE CEDEP PARK. Provenance: Centre Européen d'Education Permanente - CEDEP, Fontainebleau (Ordered from the artist through the Centre d'art plastique contemporain Artcurial, and delivered on June 19, 1991 (according to van Dissel & Simmons, p. 35, Purchase invoice no. 911576 of July 13, 1991).
