The work having been mounted on a frame, the external margins bear traces of it, without any damage to the drawing.
Weeser-Krell was one of the painters and draughtsmen who specialized in the representation of factories.He perfected
a method of developing bird's-eye views using central projection.This allowed him to represent
monumental views of high factories.In 1875, he founded his "Institute for Perspective" in Trier.
In 1886 he stayed in Rome, where he prepared his main work View of St. Peter's and the Vatican in Rome from the Janiculum .
In 1891 he moved to Upper Austria and
in 1896 he founded an art institute.
After his death in 1903, his son Ferdinand
Weeser Krell (1883-1957) continued the business, which was a brand name for factory views, until 1911
