"De par le Roy, Arrêté de Gorge VANDEBERGUE, Lieutenant General of Police of Orleans, assisted by the other Officers, judges at the said Seat, assembled on November 26, 1725, bearing regulation of the price of the Chairs which are sold in the Butchers' shops of the City... prohibition to the Butchers of this City, at the risk of 1000 pounds of fine, to sell the Meat of Butchery at a higher price than those cy-après; To know: the two hind quarters of Beef, Calf & Sheep, six sols the pound; the front quarters four Sols the pound...
